Depth of winter

I kind of like these winter podcasts. It's almost like a little piece of hope in the middle of winter. 

In any case - we have Fredrik with Black Fur; Faded Paper Figures with B Film; and wrap up our little slice of winter with Brad Laner and Out Cold. 

Warm up a bit - spring is not too far away.

And cranking out podcasts in the new year. This one's an interesting mix - a lot of different styles, but I think they work together, don't you? 

And some repeats here, I think, but one of my resolutions is not to worry about that. We have: The Be Good Tanyas - The Littlest Birds (which sounds like "little-ass birds", I can't listen to it now without thinking of that); Beirut - Mimizan (yes, I do apparently have a boy-crush on Zach Condon); Jamaica - Jericho; and wrapping up with Phoenix (my other boy-crush) - Napoleon Says. 

Well, how can you blame me on Zach Condon - so cute!

Totally wired

Three levels of "wired" - each with their own drive. 

We start of with The Fall and Totally Wired (natch); then on to the B-52s and 52 Girls; and wrap up with Stiff Little Fingers and Suspect Device. 

Goddamn! They don't make music quite like that any more. 

 

Moving forward

A few little tunes about moving forward! A good start to the new year. 

We start off with George Harrison and Any Road; then on to Beirut and Santa Fe; and wrap up with kind of the odd one of the bunch, Brian Eno & John Cale with Empty Frame.
